SX-70 TIME ZERO

After a little pause I'm getting down again to write a short article. As I mentioned before, this one is going to be about the Polaroid paper and that is SX – 70 TIME ZERO. It's a great paper on which you can unleash your fantasy. After taking a picture and processing, which takes about 5 minutes, you can interfere with the emulsion and manipulate with the picture. You can manipulate with the photo immediately after processing up to 24 hours after it. In my view, the ideal time is from one to three hours. A bit of experimenting will do. You can interfere with the emulsion with anything not too sharp. I use different types of wooden clay shapers. With these shapers you interfere with the emulsion using different moves and pressure, which causes new chemical reactions and this changes your photo into a painted picture. The type of tools and the way you change your picture depends completely on your imagination. The best results are in bright and colorful pictures with not many huge areas in solid colors. The resulting effect of thus modified photos looks like impressionism. You can take a look at my pictures in my gallery Time Zero.

Technical information concerning Time Zero paper are here.
